علماء يكتشفون أول صابون مغناطيسي في العالم

قام علماء من جامعة بريستول بتطوير صابون مغناطيسي جديد. يتكون الصابون المغناطيسي من أملاح غنية بالحديد وذائبة في الماء. يستجيب هذا الصابون للمجال المغناطيسي في المحلول الذي يوضع فيه. تنتج هذه الخاصية المغناطيسية في الصابون من تكتلات صغيرة جداً وغنية بالحديد موجودة في وسط مائي.

يتوقع العلماء أن تكون للصابون المغناطيسي تطبيقات مهمة مثل القضاء على البقع النفطية في المياه وتنقية المياه بالإضافة إلى تطوير أنواع جديدة من المنظفات بكفاءة أعلى من تلك المتوفرة حاليا.

USB flash drive

A USB flash drive is a data storage device that includes flash memory with an integrated Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface. USB flash drives are typically removable and rewritable, and physically much smaller than a floppy disk. Most weigh less than 30 g.^[1] As of January 2012, drives up to 512GB were available, with 1terabyte (TB) drives in planning.^[2][3] Storage capacities as large as 2 terabytes are planned, with steady improvements in size and price per capacity expected.^[4] Some allow up to 100,000 write/erase cycles, depending on the exact type of memory chip used, and a 10 year shelf storage time.^[
